Laso Finance Draws $25.6M in Commitments for $1M Accepted
Laso Finance comfortably surpassed its $750K goal on MetaDAO, attracting ~$25.6M in commitments from 715 investors. The team then decided to cap the raise at $1M, leaving it roughly 26x oversubscribed.
As a reminder, Laso builds private financial rails for humans and AI agents. Users fund prepaid cards, gift cards, and bank transfers directly from a crypto wallet, with no ID upload at onboarding.
The $LASO token launched at a $3M FDV with a price of $0.10, went live on July 4, and now trades at a ~75% premium to NAV (AS).
Laso Finance has been in operation for three years and was cashflow positive going into the raise. The platform has generated roughly $34K per month in revenue, which we'll now see flow into the DAO treasury. During the raise, Hunter, Laso's founder, was active in the MetaDAO Telegram community and noted that revenue has been climbing with $11K in the last week alone, up 50.7% over the week.
Laso has also signalled the project's first proposal will likely be to allocate a portion of funds raised toward increasing its pre-funded balance with issuing partners, so the platform can fulfil orders even during high-demand periods.
Laso's account registry on 01Resolved is currently in review.
Jurassic Shares the Raise Structure of its First Fossil Acquisition
Jurassic Finance shared its plans to raise $660K for its first fossil acquisition, Deaton, a museum grade Triceratops skull revealed last week. Of the total amount, $600K will go to an escrow for the seller and $60K to the $RAWR treasury.
The raise is planned for July. Deaton will be tokenized into 1M tokens, with contributors receiving 95% in proportion to what they put in and the remaining 5% going to the $RAWR treasury.
For investors, $RAWR provides portfolio and treasury exposure, while a tokenized asset like Deaton gives direct exposure to a single fossil.
Jurassic's financials on 01Resolved show ~$196K in treasury with ~16 to ~24 months of runway and $RAWR trading at an estimated ~134% premium to NAV.
Umbra Ships Private Payroll
Umbra launched Private Payroll on Solana, letting employers pay staff privately in USDC. Companies can fund payroll from any chain and pay out instantly to an employee's wallet or bank, with compliance and payroll history built in. Umbra is offering 5% cashback as an incentive to accelerate adoption.
Two weeks ago Umbra opened private payments to any neobank through Stealf Finance and integrated Onramper for funding. With Private Payroll, Umbra is broadening distribution, applying the same privacy offering to employers as it did on the retail side.
Umbra also kept expanding what can be traded privately on Solana, adding Zcash ($ZEC) and ZINC this week on top of Arcium's $ARX, each with a trading reward pool. It also announced Umbra Owner's Day, its first NYC event, on July 13.
Umbra's financials on 01Resolved show ~$2.7M in treasury with ~53 to ~78 months of runway and $UMBRA trading at an estimated ~64% premium to NAV.
