MetaDAO Approves Its $2M Ownership Capital Fund

META holders approved “Incubate Ownership Capital,” a proposal to establish an activist fund for the ecosystem. The proposal passed by 3.39% with roughly $3K in volume across 11 trades. The decision market saw minor resistance about halfway through the TWAP window with a $1K Fail-Buy trade.

Volume by economic alignment stayed majority in favour of the decision, with 61.05% pass-aligned and 38.95% fail-aligned. Traders were more directional, at 80% pass-aligned and 20% fail-aligned.

$2M USDC will now be transferred from the MetaDAO treasury to seed the fund. MetaDAO’s NAV currently sits at roughly $11.89M. With $10.17M in freely spendable treasury assets, this represents roughly 20% of available capital in a single deployment.

The total first-year cost goes beyond the $2M. There is also a $140K management fee supplement, up to $150K in setup costs, and a standard 2% management fee. Altogether this brings operational spend to roughly $290K.

The fund will be managed by David Khosroshvili and Ioseb Khutsishvili, two Georgian entrepreneurs with a track record of building technology businesses. They will support raises too small for large institutions and seek out proposal opportunities, liquidations, and buybacks across the ecosystem.

This week, Proph3t announced the fund has already taken its first soft commit from an outside LP.

The Attempt to Take ZKFG Private at $0.15

The team behind Zinc Cash raised on MetaDAO as ZKLSOL, but its new two token model is now creating confusion around which token should accrue value, the ZKFG ownership coin or the newer “mining token”, ZINC. Two decision markets have surfaced, aiming to retire ZKFG by buying holders out at $0.15 and take Zinc Cash private. The first attempt, “Authorize ZKFG Liquidation Offer Capped at $0.15 per Token” (ZKFG-006), passed by 41.97% on $16.65K across 63 trades, but the execution stalled. ZKFG-006 failed to name an IP recipient, it didn’t include an escrow, and wasn’t executable onchain.

MetaDAO cofounders Proph3t and Kollan decided to relaunch a new market, “Take ZKFG Private,” with the missing pieces, a 2/3 escrow funded within 48 hours, an IP transfer to the LLC operator, and a 365-day redemption at $0.15. The only problem now is funding. Against a Total NAV of roughly $359.88K, per ZKFG’s financials on 01Resolved, paying $0.15 across an expected 3M to 3.9M circulating ZKFG needs $450K to $585K. The payout is larger than the entire DAO owned value, and at $0.15 the offer sits above ZKFG’s NAV per token, which is what tripped MetaDAO’s no-buybacks-above-NAV rule on the first attempt.

Right now the market is leaning against the buyout. Take ZKFG Private is failing by 1.35% with $415.23K across 1.55K trades. 57.14% of traders are pass-aligned, but volume by economic direction is currently split at 49.78% pass to 50.22% fail.

P2P is a fiat-to-crypto on and off ramp built for emerging markets. This week, P2P hit a major milestone, crossing $40M of value bridged the protocol. The volume runs across India, Brazil, Argentina, Nigeria, Indonesia, Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico.

P2P is now moving into prediction markets. Chainlink named it a launch partner for its new high-speed crypto prediction markets, alongside Forkast and Vault777. The markets cover BTC, ETH, SOL, and more, with Chainlink handling resolution and settlement. P2P also previewed PolyculeNews, a Chainlink-powered app pairing prediction markets with news.

On the trading side, P2P launched the Perps World Cup, a country-based competition run through Telegram. Traders claim a national flag and every closed trade counts toward their country’s score, across Gold, BTC, ETH, SOL, HYPE, and ZEC, funded with fiat or crypto.

P2P’s financials on 01Resolved show $4.84M in treasury with about 22 to 28 months of runway and their token trading at a 19% discount to NAV.

Predikt Raises on Star Using Bedrock’s Equity-Backed Model

Star runs Episode 8 of The Shot on June 16 featuring Predikt, a protocol that turns prediction market positions across venues like Polymarket and Kalshi into usable collateral, letting holders borrow, add leverage, or earn yield instead of waiting for resolution. It is live in beta with ~3K wallets and ~$100K in volume, built by the Balkan team behind 4PTO Labs.

The raise uses Bedrock, a legal framework that ties a token to real company equity. When a project uses the framework to raise onchain, the Bedrock Foundation takes a permanent seat on the company’s cap table, holding preference equity and a golden share. The golden share means the founder cannot sell the company or extract value through equity without engaging the Foundation. Token holders get no direct payout and equity transfers only on consolidation, when someone proves ownership of 30 percent or more of the token supply and triggers a mandatory buyout.

Predikt is selling 10% of company equity to the Bedrock Foundation at a $678.57K onchain FDV, an implied offchain valuation near $6.79M, with futarchy oversight protecting the treasury and liquidation rights for holders. The $475K raise opens June 16. Pre-commits have pulled in about $73.85K from 49 investors, roughly 15% of the target.
